G. DE MARCO (1906-1990) - A native Parisian, Studied et the Ecole des Beaux Arts and after graduation won the Rome prize which enabled him to travel all over Europe. In his wide variety of subjects in which he excels  because of the intriguing shades of colors and freedom of treatment, he won a large number or prizes which put him in the category of "hors concours" artists. This means he was entitled to enter the exhibit of any official artist association without having to pass their jury. During World War II he was a member of the Paris resistance against the German occupation. He was the head of the French National Association of Artists in 1960s.

The frame has signs of minimal stains, however the painting is in the perfect condition.
